Job summary 22.5 hours per week over 3 days, equating to 7.5 hour days, permanent position Harrogate Hospital We are seeking to recruit to an exciting and varied opportunity within our Newborn Hearing Screening Team at Harrogate Hospital. The post holder will be required to undertake the screening of babies and liaise with parents and professionals in the hospital and in community clinics. The post holder will also collect, record and compute the hearing screening data. The service is delivered 365 days of the year so work at weekends and bank holidays will be required. Reporting to the Local Programme Manager, the successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised, motivated and be dedicated to supporting the values of the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme and the Trust. Main duties of the job Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to be able to liaise with parents and healthcare professionals. Good computing skills are required to process the screening data and perform administrative tasks.The ability to work using your own initiative and as part of a team is also required for this role. Although some experience of working in a hospital environment and/or with mothers and small babies would be advantageous, we would also welcome applications from candidates without hospital experience as full training will be provided.
