How you will help:
We’re looking for an experienced Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator to take a leading role in delivering energy efficiency projects that comply with PAS2035 standards. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and sustainable solutions for our clients.
You will manage multiple retrofit projects, working closely with social housing providers, contractors, and technical teams to deliver best-in-class retrofit solutions. The role requires technical expertise, strong stakeholder management, and a keen eye for compliance, making a real difference in the transition to low-carbon housing.
What we’ll be asking you to do:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
* Leading the entire retrofit project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with PAS2035, PAS2030, and funding scheme requirements.
* Coordinating with social housing providers, asset managers, contractors, and clients to successfully deliver PAS-compliant retrofit projects.
* Assessing energy modelling and improvement options, creating medium-term retrofit plans aligned with client objectives.
* Overseeing compliance documentation, including retrofit assessments, surveys, and technical reports.
* Working closely with Project Managers, technical specialists, and support teams to ensure high-quality, sustainable solutions.
* Providing on-site advice to installers, reviewing progress, and ensuring standards are met.
* Supporting designers in creating property design packs and lodging completed works to the TrustMark database.
* Participating in technical risk management discussions and contributing to Sero’s Technical Review Board.
* Ensuring all projects adhere to relevant industry guidelines, standards, and best practices.
To Hit the Ground Running:
We’re looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
Essential
* Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator & Risk Management qualification.
* Proven experience in coordinating PAS2035 retrofit projects under funding schemes such as SHDF.
* Deep understanding of PAS2035 and PAS2030 processes, compliance, and best practices.
* Experience in consultancy or retrofit-focused environments.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complex projects.
* Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, charts, and power queries.
* Valid UK driver’s license and access to transport for site visits.
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience with system-built homes (e.g., Hawksley, BISF, Dorlonco, Doran).
* Level 3 qualifications in Energy Efficiency Measures for Older & Traditional Buildings or Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) certification.

Working Hours: We consider full-time to be 37.5 hours per week between 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday but this could also be a part-time role if it works best for you. We'd like some of your working hours to be coordinated with other team members and external stakeholders to ensure we're being efficient and communicating effectively.
Location: We have an office based in Cardiff and we provide our Sero team the option to work flexibly, depending on role and responsibility. While we are fully set up for virtual work and support you in which works best for your work-life balance, we will need you in the office regularly to collaborate with the team and stakeholders, and for training opportunities so you should be comfortable with travelling to Cardiff (as well as to site).
Salary: We’re budgeting up to £50,000 per year for a full-time person in this role. If the role is part-time, the salary will be adjusted accordingly based on the agreed hours.
