Job Description
As a Collections and Delivery Driver for DPD, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and efficient collection and delivery of parcels, serving as a key representative of our company to our valued customers.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Commence daily operations at the depot, assisting with the loading of parcels onto the vehicle.
2. Execute a predetermined delivery and collection schedule, typically comprising 50-60 stops within the designated area.
3. Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle in strict compliance with all traffic regulations and company safety protocols.
4. Utilise provided equipment, such as the sack barrow/hand truck, to safely handle and transport heavier items.
5. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during collections and deliveries, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times.
6. Adhere to strict time management practices to ensure all collections and deliveries are completed within the specified timeframes.
7. Accurately document all transactions and maintain thorough records of deliveries and collections.
8. Report any issues or discrepancies immediately to the relevant supervisors or managers.
9. Ensure the vehicle is maintained in optimal condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
10. Adapt to varying weather conditions and logistical challenges to maintain consistent service quality.

Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
* A valid 7.5T (C1) licence
* Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
* Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) accreditation
