Position Overview:
* As the Fundraiser/Bid Writer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet our fundraising goals.
* You will identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and grant-making organisations, and build strong partnerships that align with the organisation's values and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement fundraising plans and strategies to meet fundraising targets.
* Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and grant-making organisations.
* Diversify Empowr-U's funding streams to include multiple forms
* Lead any freelance or bid writers that we work with, setting clear objectives.
* Develop in-kind funding streams that complement our work
* Write and submit grant proposals and fundraising applications.
* Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
* Manage donor and sponsor relationships and ensure their ongoing engagement.
* Work closely with the team to develop engaging content for fundraising campaigns.
* Monitor and report on fundraising progress, identifying areas for improvement.
* Ensure compliance with relevant fundraising regulations and guidelines.
* Write successful grant funding applications for Empowr-U and third-party organisations
Person Specification:
Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising.
* Proven track record of achieving fundraising targets.
* Experience in writing and submitting grant proposals and fundraising applications.
* Experience in planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns.
Skills and Knowledge:
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Strong networking and interpersonal skills.
* Good understanding of fundraising principles and techniques.
* Ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
* Good knowledge of relevant fundraising regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
* A degree or equivalent qualification would be useful to demonstrate ability in written communication, but other ways of demonstrating this could be equally as important.
Salary, Hours and Perks:
* Part-time or full-time can be considered.
* The salary is £25k-£32,500 pro rata, dependent on experience and qualifications. If you are currently in a higher salaried role this can be discussed at the interview.
