Position Overview: As the Fundraiser/Bid Writer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet our fundraising goals. You will identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and grant-making organisations, and build strong partnerships that align with the organisation's values and mission. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement fundraising plans and strategies to meet fundraising targets. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and grant-making organisations. Diversify Empowr-U's funding streams to include multiple forms Lead any freelance or bid writers that we work with, setting clear objectives. Develop in-kind funding streams that complement our work Write and submit grant proposals and fundraising applications. Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns. Manage donor and sponsor relationships and ensure their ongoing engagement. Work closely with the team to develop engaging content for fundraising campaigns. Monitor and report on fundraising progress, identifying areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant fundraising regulations and guidelines. Write successful grant funding applications for Empowr-U and third-party organisations Person Specification: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising. Proven track record of achieving fundraising targets. Experience in writing and submitting grant proposals and fundraising applications. Experience in planning and executing fundraising events and campaigns. Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Strong networking and interpersonal skills. Good understanding of fundraising principles and techniques. Ability to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Good knowledge of relevant fundraising regulations and guidelines. Qualifications: A degree or equivalent qualification would be useful to demonstrate ability in written communication, but other ways of demonstrating this could be equally as important. Salary, Hours and Perks: Part-time or full-time can be considered. The salary is £25k-£32,500 pro rata, dependent on experience and qualifications. If you are currently in a higher salaried role this can be discussed at the interview. Additional bonuses are available based on performance.
