Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance member to join our team, responsible for maintaining the grounds and ensuring the upkeep of our facilities. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for employees and visitors.
Responsibilities:
* Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, trimming trees, and maintaining landscape to ensure the grounds are well-kept and presentable, including maintaining mower and other equipment.
* Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of lawns and plants.
* Responsible for providing weed control on the grounds after hours.
* Conduct routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify and address issues such as litter, fallen branches, or hazards.
* Oversee snow and ice removal during winter months to maintain safe access to buildings and parking lots.
* Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks inside office facilities, including but not limited to:
o HVAC system checks and filter replacements.
o Plumbing repairs (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains).
o Electrical maintenance (e.g., changing bulbs, troubleshooting minor issues).
o Painting and minor carpentry work.
* Maintain smooth roads and lots.
* Sweep floors in all buildings.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from employees regarding facility issues.
* Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including inventory of supplies and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance tasks.
* Assist with setting up and tearing down equipment and furniture for events or office reconfigurations.
* Collaborate effectively with other departments and vendors as needed.
* Perform any additional tasks assigned by the maintenance manager to support operations and maintenance goals.
Requirements:
* Proven experience maintaining facilities, with a focus on groundskeeping and office facility maintenance.
* Knowledge of landscaping and ground maintenance practices, including the safe operation of related equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, trimmers).
* Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry/painting techniques.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects.
* A willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular working hours if needed.
