With over 50 charity shops across England and Wales, our Cotswold store is based within a community that is rich with history and welcomes locals and tourists alike. Our store is looking for an Assistant Shop Manager to work alongside our Shop Manager in creating a warm and welcoming shopping experience for visitors and those donating to the store.
More about the role
As an Assistant Shop Manager, you will use your experience in retail management and play a crucial role in our shop's daily operations. You can expect to manage incoming donations and drive sales forward along with supervising and supporting our volunteers with the daily operations of the store. You should be a positive role model with the ability to motivate others.
Blue Cross is supported by a network of generous donors and every item sold helps fund our vital work: supporting sick, injured, and homeless pets and caring for over 40,000 animals each year through our rehoming, veterinary, and education programmes.
Our shops open Sunday to Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00. This role is required for 14 hours per week which would typically be 2 days in a working week. A rota could look like as follows; rotating Saturdays and a day off during the week (day varies per week). Hours are determined on business need so we need our Assistant Shop Manager to be flexible as required (including additional hours to cover annual leave/meetings etc.). This role will include Bank Holiday and weekend working.
