About the Service
At our Tullideph services we support 7 adults, 6 men and 1 woman within their own tenancies by a large staff team. The needs of the people supported are unique to them but do include Learning Disabilities, Autism and Aspergers Syndrome, Epilepsy, ADHD, Diabetes, Bi-Polar Disorder and Hearing Impairment. Each service is bespoke to the individual, with a focus on their priorities, likes and interests and ambitions. All of the people that we support have their own individual personalities, lifestyles, interests and hobbies and so the support they require can vary from person to person.
Day to Day you will;
1. Promote independence, individuality and achievement of goals, with the voices of the people we support at the very centre of everything you do.
2. Assist with various tasks such as personal care, housework, administering medication and meal preparation.
3. Attend and participate in meaningful activities both at home and in the community, including cinema, music groups, travel, art, walking groups, voluntary work and swimming.
4. Liaise with your team and with others to review and ensure you are providing the best quality care.
5. Maintain accurate up to date daily recordings.
At Sense Scotland we want the lives of the people that we support to be about much more than just their support needs – it’s about enjoyment, fulfilment, relationships, wellbeing and meaningful experiences. We encourage team members to bring their own interests and skills into the workplace to share with the people who use our services. Experience is not required, we care much more about your values, enthusiasm and willingness to learn - the skills you need we will train you in.
Shift times vary from 7.30am to 10pm start and finishing times across a variety of early, late, mid and sleepover shifts and nightshifts. This will be a variety of lone working and 2:1 shifts, with each shift providing support to only one individual – meaning you get real opportunity to get to know the individuals you are supporting to provide consistency and build trusting relationships. We have both part-time and full-time positions available.
