Quality Engineer upto £45k£5k car allowance, bonus, pension, private medical insurance and life assurance.
Our client is a recognised global leader working within the Manufacturing, Retail and Logisitcs industry.
Reporting to and working closely with the QEHS Management team, the Quality Engineer will support the business in all areas of QMS compliance. Your responsibilities will include managing process input variables to drive product quality and overseeing quality control efforts. You will analyse customer complaints and internal rejects, perform root cause analysis, and deploy corrective and preventive actions.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that the local Quality Management System is compliant to the agreed scope, whilst maintaining ISO9001.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings in the evaluation and development of new products or changes related to current products to ensure the business remains compliant with customer and legislative requirements.
Support and monitor quality KPI's through the project phase to ensure that project targets are being achieved with evidence.
Non-conformance & concern management.
Co-ordinate customer, supplier, and internal quality concerns, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues quickly and efficiently.
Manage identification and implementation of effective containment, corrective and preventive actions using the Global 8D approach.
Attend project core team meetings as the quality representative, to provide status updates and ensure that risk is being managed effectively.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contributes to Business improvement initiatives as needed.
Deliver training and toolbox talks related to quality activities.
Report site KPIs / metrics to the business highlighting performance, compliance, and improvement initiatives, generate improvement action plans where gaps are identified.
Implement and manage robust quality control systems and process to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Scheduling and planning internal audits at appropriate intervals, addressing raised issues, and implementing corrective actions to close out non-conformances.
Manage and maintain customer specific certifications and audits aligned to their expectations.
Comply with the requirements of the company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
Requirements:
Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail
Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and experience in an ISO compliant environment
Previous experience conducting internal audits and managing compliance systems.
Strong knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies such as 8D
Ability to manage systems to ensure process input variables are in specification.
Knowledge and experience of inspection processes and equipment.
Use of root cause and corrective action tools, e.g., 8D, Cause and effect diagram, 5Whys, 5W&H, Pareto diagram.
