EYFS Teaching Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Exmouth, supporting children in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone passionate about working with young learners to provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide individual and group support to children in EYFS, fostering early learning and development.
* Assist with daily classroom activities, supporting play-based and structured learning.
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to implement personalised learning plans.
* Encourage positive social interactions, communication, and emotional well-being.
* Support children with behaviour management strategies, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
Requirements
* Ideally Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
* Experience working in EYFS or KS1 in a nursery or school setting.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, staff, and parents.
* A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
* Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to working with young children.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
