Job summary Due to expansion of the Endoscopy and Treatment Unit an exciting opportunity has arisen for both full time and part time permanent Endoscopy Technicians to join our busy unit. We operate a 6 day week service, 8am to 7pm and occasional evening clinics. Whilst experience in working in the Endoscopy Unit would be desirable it is not essential as full training in all aspects of the job will be given. The successful candidates will be expected to work in all areas of the department including the ward area admitting and caring for patients undergoing and recovering from endoscopic procedures. Working within the procedure rooms assisting the endoscopist and nurse and in the decontamination department processing endoscopes. The candidate will be expected to participate in the 24 hour on call system. Hours per week: variable Main duties of the job To work under the supervision of senior nurses and with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide the physical and emotional care for both inpatients and outpatients undergoing a variety of endoscopic medical and surgical procedures on the department.
