Grounds Neighbourhood Care Operative needed in Bolton, £12.93ph PAYE – Reference: 0009 9DAE / 1
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of graves for burials, including excavations and support with hand tools and mechanical digger assistant.
* Dressing of graves and attendance/duties at ceremonies.
* Backfilling and aftercare of graves, including topping up and routine maintenance.
* Exhumations.
* Dealing with public enquiries and complaints from the public in a sympathetic manner.
* Erection of plinths.
* Checking headstones for damage and laying down those that are unsafe.
* Keep roads, pathways, and open spaces clear from debris/litter/leaves.
* Empty litter bins.
* Undertake ground maintenance duties including lawns, verges, shrub & flower bed maintenance, shrub bed pruning, strimming, hedge cutting, edging off.
* Usage of grass cutting equipment, mowers, blowers, and strimmers.
* Safely operate plant & equipment.
* Completion of worksheets.
* Winter gritting footpath areas.
* Driving duties associated with the role.
Requirements:
* Ability to traverse a minimum of 2 miles per day and work a maximum of 7.5 hours a day.
* Ability to accept and understand verbal & written communications.
* Ability to work with minimum supervision.
* Ability to work on own and as a member of a team.
* Ability to work in ALL weathers.
* Ability to work overtime if required.
* Working across the Borough.
CLEAN DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED
