Day-to-day of the role:
As a Senior Educational Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Work alongside class teachers to support the learning, as well as the social and emotional needs of our pupils.
2. Engage and motivate pupils with autism, inspiring trust and confidence.
3. Be a flexible, reflective, and self-evaluating practitioner who actively seeks to improve the quality of learning.
4. Take positive action to enhance the educational experience, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of all pupils.
5. Build team commitment and foster an environment of cooperation and support among staff and students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience working with SEN, particularly in roles supporting children with complex autism.
* Ability to relate effectively to children and young people from diverse backgrounds.
* Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with pupils, staff, and the wider school community.
* Confidence and ambition to go above and beyond in supporting children with special needs.
* Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
