The role
As a Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will deliver improvement plans and ensure compliance with Cavendish Nuclear Health and Safety arrangements.
Day-to-day, you’ll submit weekly reports to the HSE Manager detailing duties undertaken.
* Conduct health and safety audits and inspections for compliance.
* Provide HSE advice and guidance to line management on safe working practices.
* Develop safe systems of work and risk assessments considering relevant hazards.
* Write and circulate health and safety reports, identifying non-compliance and areas for improvement.
This role is full-time, with hybrid working arrangements involving approximately 4 days on-site at Morecambe, Lancaster or Hartlepool, Durham and covering 8 sites with travel and accommodation provided as needed, with the potential of 1 day working from home.
Essential experience of the HSE Advisor:
* Proven operational health and safety experience, ideally within the nuclear industry.
* Proficient in the application and understanding of ISO45001 standards.
Qualifications for the HSE Advisor:
* Level 3 NEBOSH General Certificate.
* Internal auditor.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
