Experienced Electrical Supervisor required by our established and highly successful controls and electrical solutions specialist to oversee the activities of a busy electrical team of engineers.
Our client has been established for more than half a century and are recognised as market leaders in the provision of high-performance electrical and controls solutions primarily associated with supply to the automotive sector.
As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Electrical Installation Supervisor to complement their established and professional team involved in the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of an impressive portfolio of automation and electrical systems throughout the UK and Europe.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will undertake a range of activities and duties including (but not limited to):
1. Ensuring compliance with H&S and other relevant regulations and legislation.
2. Overseeing electrical projects and ensuring successful completion of tasks
3. Assist in planning the priorities and tasks for the team.
4. Conducting the assigned specialised work to the relevant standards, using materials, equipment, and resources as appropriate.
5. Operating and checking specialist equipment.
6. Supervising the team to carry out works in order to ensure projects are being delivered on time.
7. Compiling, collating, maintaining and checking records as required.
8. Responding to any incidents and problems that could be encountered.
9. Reporting into management and attending management meetings as required
10. Recording and resolving breakdowns and deficiencies
In addition, you will be skilled in PLC (with proven skills on any of the mainstream platforms such as Allen Bradley, Siemens or equivalent) and HMI / SCADA (WonderWare, Factory Talk or equivalent) programming and be able to demonstrate comprehensive skills and expertise in associated control system design, development and maintenance as well as possessing excellent knowledge of relevant industrial communication protocols (including Ethernet/IP, Profibus or Modbus).
To be considered for this varied and challenging opportunity, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will demonstrate at least 3 years proven experience of working within a supervisory capacity in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment and be qualified to at least ONC or above in a relevant electrical installation or engineering discipline (C&G inspection and test and 18th Edition IEE certification are essential) along with the ability to read electrical schematic drawings (created with EPLAN or other electrical design software) and demonstrating a history of involvement in the installation of associated control systems.
