Duties & Responsibilities (Due to this being a trainee role full training will be given for all listed below)
* Assisting with setting out, levelling and surveying on various construction sites
* Using various modern technological systems like GPS Machine Control and Robotic Total Stations
* Working with site plans, drawings and building information models
* Assisting with mapping structural boundaries on the ground using pegs and markers
* Working alongside the Setting out Engineers, liaising with designers to ensure plans and drawings are accurate
* Assisting with overseeing quality control
* Assisting with monitoring of health and safety
* Helping to resolve technical problems
* Working hands on with various site teams when required to help develop an understanding of the different stages of delivering projects from start to finish
* Any other duties & responsibilities reasonably required by management
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Have a full valid driving licence
* Have an interest in the construction industry and want to develop a career in it
* Have excellent attention to detail
* Have great communication skills and the ability to work well with others
* Have strong computer skills and be able to use different software and systems
* Experience with CAD would be beneficial
Job Title: Trainee Setting Out Engineer
Employment Type: Permanent – Full Time
Location: Wrexham Head Office & Various Nationwide Sites (Will be required to work away for some sites)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday as standard but potential for overtime and weekend working as well as and when required
Salary: Minimum wage to start as well as college tuition and further training fees paid by the company
