A vacancy exists for Registered Nurse (Midwife Qualified), based at Life Flora Hospital, reporting to Caroline Boskovic, Maternity Unit Manager. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing holistic patient care and to collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders in line with Company & Hospital strategic objectives. Critical Outputs Patient Care - Determine and administer patient's needs, listening to complaints, recording vital data, receiving and giving report from/to other shifts.Administer medication and observe reactions, special diets and implement treatment plans.Co-ordinate nursing services with that of the multi-disciplinary team Health Education - Participate in education/learning programmes for patients, families, communities and staff Administration - Maintain accurate patient information by recording and reporting all abnormalities, referrals, all interventions carried out, incidents, movements and patient belongings Material and Resource Supervision - stock control, billing of all stock and maintaining safety and storage of equipment Allocate, delegate staff according to job requirements, orientate new employees, manage staff schedules, and manage joint performance of sub-ordinates. Comply with ISO requirements in order to facilitate infection control Conduction of effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Requirements Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing Diploma in Midwifery, Advanced Midwifery would be an added advantage Registration with SANC Nursing experience in Maternity Ward (Labour, Post-natal and Nursery). Must be willing to fulfill the role of midwife in the Unit, according to the flexi hour system (day and night duty), standby hours, according to the needs of the Unit. Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges and role players. Computer proficiency Must be able to work under pressure in a continuously changing environment Driver's license and ability to travel Competencies Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing Diploma in Midwifery, Advanced Midwifery would be an added advantage Registration with SANC Nursing experience in Maternity Ward (Labour, Post-natal and Nursery).
