We’re looking for a skilled AV Installation Supervisor to lead on-site installs from first fix to commissioning. You’ll bring strong AV systems knowledge, great communication, and a hands-on approach to delivering high-quality projects safely and on time.
Skills and Experience:
1. Working knowledge of current AV systems, associated IT elements and their installation (including AMX, Crestron, Extron, audio DSP, Video conferencing, etc.)
2. Understanding of client needs, room environments and use technical knowledge of AV equipment, design concepts and schematic drawings
3. Excellent organisational skills
4. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and helpful approach
5. Administration skills, including typing and reporting using Office applications
6. The ability to deliver under pressure with minimum supervision
7. To communicate effectively with people at all levels
8. A positive and enthusiastic approach to delivering the role
9. Experience of meeting targets and deadlines and working under pressure
Key Tasks:
1. Managing all aspects of the on-site installation team from first fix to commissioning
2. Ensuring that the AV system is installed in accordance with the project Scope of works and or brief and functioning
3. Resource planning including project updates, risk reporting, logistics & consumable requests, and on-site resources
4. Representing the PM in their absence and sign off for completion of small projects or where delegated
5. Clear and concise communication both internal and external, and attending coordination meetings where appropriate
6. Maintaining H&S files and safe systems of work for the project and conducting H&S awareness briefings
7. Quality assurance to include reviews of installation activities
