We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in at least one of the following areas: Environmental Engineering and contaminant control in Aqueous Environments Climate Change Sustainability in Civil Engineering For this role we will consider applicants both with an industry and a research background. You will use appropriate learning, teaching, support and assessment methods to ensure that an excellent student experience is provided. You will conduct high quality research leading to publications in leading academic journals and develop bids and partnerships for research funding. You will also contribute to the design and development of high quality, up-to-date courses in Civil Engineering and related disciplines, and act as a Course Lead for the BEng in Civil and Environmental Engineering UG scheme. You will have a PhD in an Environmental Engineering or in a related Civil Engineering related topic, or equivalent industrial experience (typically demonstrated by Chartered status). You will have high-level knowledge, skill, and expertise in Environmental Engineering along with the ability to teach core civil engineering topics at undergraduate level, and Environmental Engineering UG modules, including leading fieldwork activities. You will have excellent presentation and teaching skills, as demonstrated by Higher Education teaching experience or regular presentations to industry. You will also be eligible for Chartered Engineer status with a related professional body. A strong record of research, as evidence by high quality research publications, along with industry experience with a UK-based Environmental Engineering consultant or contractor is desirable.
