About this Role
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager / Head of IT to join us and help us position the Company for a period of rapid scaling. This role will be key in ensuring that our technology function is robust, scalable and aligned with our business needs.
Our ideal candidate will have had exposure to a varietyof different functions within the field of technology, and will be as comfortable advising on strategic objectives as they are working on day to day tasks.
Part-time applications would be considered and there are opportunities for growth in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Some notable responsibilities will include:
* Review and propose recommendations for a scalable technology function for Fideres, including outsourced IT support, information security, cyber security, and internal software/data engineers
* Develop business plans for technology to support Fideres’s strategy
* Act as the key point of contact and intermediary for our current and future outsourced IT support providers
* Ensure robust operational resilience and business continuity measures are in place for IT
* Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place, work with external providers to manage any cybersecurity training needs within the business
* Review and improve our technology related policies and procedures, identify and propose solutions for any gaps
* Work closely with the COO to ensure technology solutions align fully with business needs
* Prepare and run RfPs for future technology needs
* Work closely with our Head of People and COO on staffing, training and hiring plans
* Coach and mentor key stakeholders
* Other IT related projects as required
Key Skills and Attributes
The successful candidate will have:
* Prior experience in an IT Manager role for a research driven consulting or professional services business
* Solid knowledge of software infrastructure, IT support, cybersecurity and information security
* Strong commercial awareness and a business focus
* Ability to explain complex topics to non-specialists
* Relevant academic credentials
* Willing to be hands-on
* Commercial and intellectual acumen
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Able to handle relationships and change management sensitively
