Our client is a well renowned family retail business who are looking to boost their current financial team. This is the ideal opportunity for a confident and experienced candidate looking to commit to an SME business and grow professionally within. You will be collaborating with and reporting to the MD.
An integral part of this role will be leading your own small financial team, meaning the suitable candidate will be a good listener and a proactive leader. This role will include exposure to completing standard monthly management packs therefore previous experience doing this is essential. Part of your duties will also include liaising with various departments across the company, which would be ideal for a genuinely extroverted candidate who enjoys building connections.
A few examples of some more company specific duties are: maintaining and improving financial reporting systems and processes, stock management and reporting, monitoring and control costs as well as identifying areas for improvement and efficiency. Due to this being a retail business previous experience with PAYE and VAT would be desirable.
