Job Description:
This is a warm and welcoming primary school committed to nurturing young learners and helping them achieve their full potential. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team and provide engaging, high-quality education for their pupils.
Duties as a Year 2 Teacher:
* Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
* Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development.
* Assess and track pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
* Prepare pupils for their transition to Key Stage 2.
* Contribute to school life through extracurricular activities and events.
Ideal Year 2 Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A degree in Education or a related subject
* Experience teaching at Key Stage 1, preferably in Year 2
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills
* A passion for working with young children and helping them thrive
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
