Portering Supervisor Full Time Permanent Band 3 - 37.5 hours across 7 days
Supervisor shift patterns are 12 hour shifts working 4 days on and 4 days off - Across Days, Nights and Weekends. (Enhancements for working Evenings and Weekends)

The successful candidate will be required to coordinate a hardworking team of porters. You will work alongside a supportive management team with outside support from the Education and Training department. You will have a caring and polite manner, and will be confident in your ability to lead a team of staff to provide the best possible patient experience.

The shift pattern will be to cover any Supervisory shifts on a 4 on/4 off Rota which will include nights. The current hours of work are 8am until 8pm and 8pm until 8am (12 hour shifts) on a rotational basis.

Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the supervision of Portering and transport staff. In addition, they are a key first line contact within the Portering service, which involves assisting in the day to day running of services and maintaining a high standard service. The post holder must ensure staff are trained and equipped to complete all required tasks. The post holder will have a flexible approach to work and actively support staff through hands-on working. The post holder will need to have a friendly and helpful manner and have a sensitive approach when dealing with patients and their families.
