Position Overview:
Cicor Newport is seeking a motivated and skilled Test Technician to join our dynamic team in the electronics manufacturing sector. As a Test Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and performance of our electronic products while collaborating closely with our engineering team. Key Responsibilities
* Perform technical test operations on PCBs and assemblies, ensuring adherence to established protocols and quality standards.
* Conduct routine test maintenance to ensure optimal performance of testing equipment and systems.
* Debug and troubleshoot issues identified during testing, providing timely solutions to enhance product reliability.
* Liaise with the engineering team to communicate test results, share insights, and collaborate on product improvements.
* Document test procedures, results, and any anomalies accurately, maintaining comprehensive records for quality assurance.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas to enhance testing processes and efficiency.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies to bring innovative practices to the team.
Qualifications
* Ideally qualified to HNC level in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; however, relevant experience will also be considered.
* Previous experience in testing electronic devices or components, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding of electronic principles, circuit theory, and testing methodologies.
* Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with engineering and production teams.
