Job Summary: The Registered Nurse, holding a valid NMC Pin, will deliver exceptional nursing care across various locations. Pay Rate: £21.23 Per Hour Key Responsibilities: Clinical Care: Provide and supervise high-quality nursing care tailored to individual needs, including care planning, assessments, and reviews. Monitor, assess, and evaluate patients' health and escalate concerns to medical professionals as needed. Ensure care aligns with current best practices, national standards, and local policies of each placement. Promote dignity, comfort, and respect for residents, adapting care approaches to various care settings. Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in line with NMC standards and each facility's policies. Accurately maintain medication administration records (MAR) and report any adverse reactions or medication errors. Conduct medication audits when required, ensuring compliance with medication handling regulations. Care Planning: Collaborate with care teams to develop, implement, and review individual care plans. Participate in regular assessments, adjusting care plans to meet changing patient needs. Involve patients and families in care decisions, respecting their wishes and promoting holistic care. Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and support to care staff, ensuring effective, patient-centred care delivery. Lead shifts when required, coordinating care activities and maintaining smooth unit operations. Assist with training and mentoring care staff, sharing knowledge and promoting skill development. Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with NMC guidelines and each facility's protocols. Support audits, inspections, and compliance processes, ensuring adherence to CQC standards. Uphold safeguarding and health & safety practices, identifying and reporting any risks or incidents. Maintain confidentiality and data protection standards, respecting patients' privacy. Communication and Teamwork: Build strong, collaborative relationships with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to clinical discussions and decisions. Adapt quickly to new teams and environments, fostering trust and teamwork. Professional Development: Maintain active NMC registration and meet revalidation requirements. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on nursing practices and healthcare advancements. Attend agency training sessions and complete mandatory learning modules. Qualifications and Skills: Essential: Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC Pin. Experience in diverse care settings (e.g., nursing homes, hospitals, or community care). Strong understanding of CQC regulations and the NMC Code of Practice. Proficiency in safe and accurate medication administration. Excellent adaptability, communication, and interpersonal skills.
