Job Description The role will be responsible for partnering with all HR COE’s and the business, on employee relations matters, providing specialist employee relations, employment law and change management advice and guidance. The role will coach, support and advise managers based in EMEA, on complex ER issues and case management. About the Role Responsible for specific client groups, dealing with employment issues by liaising with management/employees as appropriate, seeking internal/external advice where necessary to ensure employment law compliance and applying best practice within SS&C policy/legal requirements. Including: Proactively provide advice and support on a broad range of employee issues across the EMEA region including (but not limited to) management of under-performance, investigations, grievances, appeals, involuntary exits (including RIF programmes) and interpretation of employment policy and practices Monitor changes to employment law and practices across the region and ensure they are communicated to the relevant stakeholders and integrated into existing policies and practices Actively manage and support the business with change management initiatives such as restructuring Acquisition integration including TUPE transfers and collective consultation Partner with Legal and Director of ER to assess and mitigate legal, regulatory, and reputational risk Manage ad hoc projects such as system developments, resulting from legislative changes and Company developments Support the Director of ER in ensuring ER practices and processes support SS&C’s organisational objectives and culture Identify, design and deliver Buzz sessions on specific HR related topics Review and update Employee Handbooks and associated HR policies and procedures in line with employment law changes and best practice. Support Corporate initiatives such as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Wellbeing – mental health initiatives, and Employee Forum/Worker Councils Manage ACAS/Workplace Relations Commission conciliation applications Management of Employment Tribunal claims Be an escalation point for the Senior Employee Relations Advisors/Employee Relations Specialists who provide first line support to the Company, advising and supporting them where necessary, and running with high risk/complex escalations To carry out any other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed Your Experience Essential Experience of confidently influencing and articulating complex issues to a diverse range of stakeholders, verbally and in writing. Ability to manage own workload efficiently and effectively within a fast-paced environment Demonstrate experience of managing complex employee relation cases Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy Analytical and creative mind-set – capable of challenging the status quo and flexing solutions to changing demands Strong commercial awareness/ business acumen Experience of managing redundancy and TUPE/M&A projects Experience of working in a matrixed, results orientated and global environment CIPD qualified (UK/Ireland), or country equivalent Coaching skills Proficient in researching employment law legislation in EMEA countries Experience of ACAS Conciliation and Employment Tribunal Claims or equivalent Desirable : Experience within HR for Financial Services / Fintech Company Presentation skills Flexibility to travel to other locations on an ad hoc basis Good understanding of HR policy and employment law legislation in multiple EMEA countries. Language skills Experience of working with bodies such as Works Councils, and/or other organised labour groups.
