Blair West is working in partnership with Crafters Companion, the leading craft supply business in the UK and US, to recruit a Management Accountant into their finance function.
Following recent re-investment from backers Growth Partner, and a restructure of the UK and US entities, the business is seeking a strong and ambitious Management Accountant to round out the finance team within the business.
Joining an existing team of 6, this position will support the CFO and Financial Controller with management accounts production, process improvement, reporting and analysis work, and business partnering across operational departments.
The opportunity:
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial reporting.
* Production of month-end/year-end journals.
* Balance sheet reconciliations.
* Support with external audit procedures.
* Help monitor and control costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies.
* Assist in the development of the finance function within the NetSuite ERP.
* Gross margin and variance analysis and reporting.
* Collaborate with finance and non-finance stakeholders to provide financial insights and understanding.
* Continuous review of accounting processes with process improvement and efficiencies in mind.
* Other ad-hoc requests and duties.
You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
* Be part-qualified or nearing the end of their ACCA/CIMA studies.
* Ideally have experience within an SME environment.
* Strong experience with the balance sheet.
* Have previous experience with ERP implementation.
* Be a strong communicator, both written and verbal.
* Have an eye for detail and process improvement.
* Showcase an ability to investigate complex issues to resolution.
* Have an ability to prioritise workload.
