Your Role as a Housing Officer: As a Housing Officer, you will be at the heart of our housing operations, playing a crucial role in securing suitable homes for the people we support. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to create lasting positive change. You will be the vital link between housing providers, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring that our housing solutions meet the needs of those we serve. What You’ll Be Doing: Identifying, viewing, and assisting in the purchase of properties that align with our growth and service goals. Acting as the main point of contact with housing providers, registered providers, and contractors to drive effective housing solutions. Collaborating with our internal estates team to align housing projects with our strategic vision. Ensuring full compliance with tenancy agreements and housing regulations to protect the rights of the people we support. Managing property-related contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to service agreements. Conducting property inspections and risk assessments to maintain safe and high-quality housing. Supporting individuals with tenancy-related queries, empowering them to maintain successful tenancies. Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of tenancy agreements, property acquisitions, and compliance documentation. What We’re Looking For: Experience in housing, property management in the adult’s social care sector. Strong knowledge of tenancy agreements, housing regulations, and compliance best practices. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to engage with external partners and internal stakeholders. Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment. A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
