To lead the Legal Services Division ensuring the provision of customer focussed, cost effective services that deliver the full range of legal services to all service areas, whilst also providing the corporate legal function.
To ensure the delivery of a comprehensive range of legal services to the Council, its directorates and related outside bodies.
To undertake the role of Monitoring Officer as set out in the Constitution and legislation and to ensure the lawfulness and fairness of decision making within the Council.
As a member of the Corporate Management Team, to take a proactive role in ensuring the Council’s vision, values, priorities and strategic objectives are promoted and made a reality.
Strategically lead, plan, support and administer the business of the Legal Team and undertake specific complex legal case work.
To oversee and lead the Information Governance Team and Complaints Service.
You will be required to provide evidence of all qualifications specified as essential.
Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
