Refer a friend - Alder Hey: Successful candidates who are introduced to the trust by existing staff members will receive £1000 after completion of six months in post. Accommodation: Alder Hey will support the cost of accommodation for up to 3 months from the date of employment (up to £500 per month). The cost is to be paid by the staff member and reclaimed as expenses.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with an interest and experience in working with young people with an Eating Disorder and/or ARFIDS.
The post holder will have responsibility for the delivery and coordination of a high-quality Occupational Therapy service for Children and Young People with an Eating Disorder and/or Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFIDs), and will provide and undertake specialist assessment of Children and Young People with an Eating Disorder and/or ARFIDs. The post holder will formulate individual treatment plans, set clear goals and outcomes based on clinical reasoning skills, and provide a range of specialist individualised therapeutic interventions to support Children and Young People open to the service.
The post holder will act as an autonomous practitioner within the Eating Disorder Service, managing their own caseload and being responsible for the delivery of therapeutic interventions within the defined areas of the service, and will provide consultation and supervision to team members.

About us
About the team: The Eating Disorder Team (EDYs) provides support and treatment for children and young people in Liverpool and Sefton with an eating disorder and/or ARFIDs, as well as their parents/carers and professionals involved in their care.
This is a multidisciplinary team including Consultant Psychiatrist and Consultant Paediatricians, Clinical Psychology, Family Therapy, CBT and SFP trained staff, Nursing, Support Worker, Assistant Practitioner, and Assistant Psychology. The team is based on site at Alder Hey but offers appointments throughout the community footprint.

* Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, recognised by HCPC
* Member of HCPC
Desirable
* Member of Royal College of Occupational Therapy
* Post Graduate level training in Sensory Integration or Sequential Oral Sensory Approach
* Occupational therapy specific post-graduate courses in paediatrics
Experience
Essential
* Experience working with Children and Young People with an Eating Disorder and/or ARFIDs
* Evidence of CPD, post registration educational and training.
* Wide knowledge of conditions and presentations and impact on occupational performance.
