As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT), you will stage, set up, and perform hardware deployments. You will also troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, perform hardware decommissions for simple changes and refreshes following Standard Operating Procedures. This role allows you to deepen your understanding of Data Center processes, develop mentoring skills, familiarize yourself with security and data management procedures, and accelerate your career growth.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, with basic knowledge of computer hardware and components, and significant experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
* Entry-level role requiring some IT knowledge of routing, switching, and cabling.
Must meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
* Certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Server+, Network+), Basic Structure Cabling (BSC).
Responsibilities
* Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identify issues, and replace faulty components with minimal disruption.
* Conduct post-execution quality checks, ensuring proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to safety and deployment standards.
* Decommission hardware for simple upgrades and rebuilds following standard procedures.
* Communicate, report, and escalate incidents according to procedures.
* Assist and guide other technicians on challenging tasks.
* Complete role-specific training and observe experienced technicians for hands-on learning.
* Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information, participating in meetings, and staying informed about team activities.
* Take pride and ownership in service quality and data center operations.
