As a Workday Financials Analyst (Adaptive planning), you will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of adaptive planning processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide analytical insights, facilitate scenario planning, and drive strategic decision-making. This role is critical to ensuring that the organisation remains agile and responsive to changing circumstances.
The Workday Financials Analyst will be a key member of our Workday team with a focus supporting the Finance team as part of the Technology Applications Team. You will assist with the ongoing maintenance and development of Adaptive Planning and Workday Financials. This individual will require the technical knowledge needed to take on the day-to-day management of Adaptive Planning/ Workday Financials and its various partners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement adaptive planning frameworks to support organisational objectives and address uncertainties.
* Scenario Development: Create and evaluate multiple scenarios to anticipate potential risks, opportunities, and outcomes.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather data, align goals, and ensure effective planning.
* Performance Monitoring: Establish metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of plans and provide regular updates to leadership.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance planning capabilities.
* Technology Utilisation: Leverage advanced tools and platforms for data analysis, modelling, and reporting.
* Training and Support: Provide guidance and training to team members on adaptive planning methodologies and tools.
* Collaborating closely with our Project teams AMS partners and Workday (as appropriate and required) directly and overseeing tickets to conclusion while ensuring accurate change management / testing protocol is followed.
* Support the Finance community with Adaptive Planning configurations for Budgeting and Forecasting.
* You will be hands on with Workday Adaptive planning and build a deep technical knowledge to apply it across Quilter’s Multiple business units.
* Support day to day system administration; including security, configuration and design of Workday Financials and Adaptive Insights.
* Maintain and develop business process across all Adaptive planning areas.
* Have an End to end Understanding of the Planning and forecasting process and Provide support to end-users.
* Hands on with the bi-annual compulsory releases, implement new functionality and ensuring a successful delivery is always achieved through diligent planning and testing of processes, configuration, and integrations.
About You
* Part or Full-Qualified accountant desirable- bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
* Knowledge of adaptive planning frameworks and tools is essential.
* Experience in Adaptive Financials configuration, implementation, and maintenance.
* Solid understanding of financial management processes, including Financial Reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Experience in Workday Financials configuration, implementation, and maintenance.
* Experience with Workday Report writer, security, and business processes.
* Solid understanding of financial management processes, including Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables.
* Proven experience in strategic planning, scenario analysis, or a similar role.
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data modelling and visualisation tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organisational levels.
