We are looking for an experienced event marketing manager to join our team for a fixed term maternity cover. This role is responsible for managing the marketing strategy and execution for our portfolio of APAC events. You will be managing a team of marketing assistants and executives whose main objectives are to deliver quality audiences, sales leads, sales collateral, and direct revenue for a portfolio of events and masterclasses.
Key Responsibilities
1. Line management of a team of 2 marketeers, 1 based in the UK office and 1 based in our Hong Kong office. Ensuring the development of the individuals in your team’s skill sets, career development and addressing any training needs.
2. Ensure delivery of high-quality audiences for your portfolio of events and masterclasses.
3. Strategize and ensure delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns and activities aligned with event objectives.
4. Ensure level of quality control is maintained in all marketing activities, this includes adherence to brand guidelines.
5. Work with existing software and tools to enhance campaign quality and lead generation.
6. Monitor and evaluate marketing activities and campaigns, providing strategic recommendations for improvement and development opportunities.
7. Effective collaboration with key stakeholders in the events division and wider business.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
1. 4+ years working in an event marketing role (ideally B2B).
2. Previous management experience.
3. Email marketing experience (ideally using Pardot and Salesforce).
4. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Excellent time management skills.
7. Excellent attention to detail.
8. Ability to share and generate innovative ideas, contributing to and leading meetings in a constructive and proactive manner.
9. Ability to work autonomously and make decisions effectively.
10. Manage and motivate team members, leading effectively by example.
11. Able to negotiate and persuade to achieve desired outcomes.
