Working as the Estimator you will be responsible for developing a process for estimating and managing the costs for new build, fit out and refurbishment projects. Ensuring delivery of the projects remain within agreed overall budget. As the Estimator you will have previous experience in tender analysis, project budgeting, and contractor management with good negotiation skills. As a successful candidate you will play a vital part in the successful delivery of a diverse range of projects, from exciting new builds to challenging refurbishments and fit outs, whilst working alongside a dedicated and supportive team. DUTIES Your duties as the Estimator include: Work within processes for estimating and costing all schemes and continually assist the procurement process Examine quotes received and report thereon or negotiate prices with a selected contractors and/or sub-contractors in accordance with the agreed schedule of rates, include negotiations on savings to an agreed budget Respond to tender enquiries during the pre-construction phase Co-ordinate the presentation of cost estimates and cost plans, construction costs, professional fees and other costs forming total project costs Survey drawings and tender documentation and undertake take offs and calculate quantities and provide schedule for the tender process to obtain accurate costings Ensure all tender submissions are compliant CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Proven experience within the construction industry Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in using estimating and project management software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong negotiation and influencing skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Knowledge of Building Regulations and Health and Safety requirements Experience using Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and Causeway HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
