About the Role:
ME+EM is looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with E-Commerce, Marketing, Logistics, HR, and Tech, playing a key leadership role within the ME+EM Finance Team. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance and collaborating with the Financial Reporting Manager, you will partner with senior leaders, including the Head of Marketing, Head of Logistics, Retail Director, Head of Property, and CTO, to drive effective commercial decision-making. A key focus of this role is bridging the gap between E-Commerce and Merchandising, ensuring alignment in customer and demand planning. You will need strong judgment to determine when to escalate issues to leadership through accurate, insightful, and timely reporting and analysis, and when to manage independently. Additionally, you will support the commercial planning process, co-owning assumptions and planning methodologies with business teams.
Responsibilities:
* Strategic Finance Partnering – Work closely with senior leaders to develop and execute detailed plans and strategic initiatives, such as launching new platforms.
* Financial Planning & Analysis – Co-own planning inputs, build granular models, and identify key growth drivers, ensuring financial rigor before presenting business cases.
* Decision Support & Commercial Influence – Provide financial insight, optimize decision-making, and enhance processes through clear communication and structured frameworks.
* Financial Control & Governance – Oversee spending mechanisms (especially in marketing), track ROI, and ensure cost management and planning discipline.
* Trade & Performance Insight – Act as the first point of contact for the Head of Commercial Analysis/COO, monitoring trade performance, risks, and opportunities.
* Cross-Functional Projects & Leadership – Lead finance initiatives, improve processes, and contribute to the wider Finance Team’s strategic development.
Experience:
* Strong background in management information across multiple functions, with the ability to extract insights and provide actionable recommendations.
* Proven experience analyzing complex data and using insights to influence business decisions.
* Track record of working with and influencing senior leaders across different functions, challenging assumptions, and improving decision-making.
* Experience in customer-facing retail businesses, ideally within e-commerce.
* Process improvement expertise, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
* Experience managing and developing analysts into future finance leaders.
Skills:
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and financial modeling.
* Comfortable handling large datasets, financial systems, and complex analysis while simplifying insights for non-finance audiences.
* Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple stakeholders, and balance priorities effectively.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive creative solutions.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, tailoring messages for different audiences.
* Big-picture mindset—able to prioritize key focus areas and guide stakeholders accordingly.
* Strong networking skills, leveraging internal and external perspectives to enhance decision-making.
* Interest in fashion, luxury brands, and related industries.
Employee Benefits:
* 33 days annual leave for full-time employees (25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays)
* A day off to celebrate your birthday.
* Pension Scheme
* Group Life Insurance
* Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
* Length of Service Award

* Annual Volunteer Day
* Cycle to Work Scheme
* Tech Scheme
* Eye Care Vouchers
* Real Living Wage Employer
* Employee led committees
* Social events and biannual parties
* Enhanced maternity and paternity package after 2 years of service.
