About the Team
The National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA) is the government’s centre of expertise for infrastructure investment and major projects positioned in HM Treasury. We are a key part of the Government’s approach to addressing barriers to infrastructure investment in the UK. We sit at the heart of Government, reporting to HM Treasury and the Cabinet Office, and drive more effective delivery of major projects across the country. NISTA has five objectives:
1. Unlocking barriers and speeding up the delivery of government’s major projects
2. Developing and implementing government’s 10 Year Infrastructure Strategy
3. Setting standards and improving government’s project delivery capabilities
4. Providing effective assurance and supporting the delivery of government’s major projects and programmes
5. Providing leading expertise on private finance
About the Role
We are looking for a Project Delivery Strategy and Governance Manager to lead on the day-to-day governance and control activities to enable effective management and decision-making.
Key accountabilities:
* Shape, direct and manage the development, maintenance, and implementation of long-term strategy for the project delivery function and profession across government and to support the alignment of departmental level functional strategies with the cross-government functional strategy
* Manage secretariat for key governance boards and sub-committees and provide a high-quality service, ensuring it is well-planned and seamlessly delivered including meeting scheduling, forward planning, preparation of agenda, management of papers, minutes, actions, and decisions
* Drive and manage the development of the governance and management framework for the project delivery function and profession across government
* Develop, test and manage a centralised reporting process for the continuous improvement assessment framework and support departments to develop action plans
