A quick look at the role.
The Regional Commercial Manager (RCM) manages the Regional Commercial team to achieve designated sales targets and retain, grow and improve profitability on the portfolio accounts across the North East. You will also work with our Telesales and Marketing team to deliver sales campaigns and maximise lead conversion.
Your core responsibilities
1. Ensure the region is aligned to the I&C Sales Strategy.
2. Work closely with operations to ensure a quality of service that ensures the targets around retention, growth and profitability are achieved.
3. Upsell and cross sell other Biffa products and services into the existing account client portfolio.
4. Lead, achieve and exceed Regional Sales targets through the BDM team.
5. Manage the tendering for commercial contract opportunities by determining strategy and deploying appropriate resources to ensure the process is cost effective and successful. Ensure all DOA sign off is adhered to.
6. Work with the Telesales and Marketing teams to convert leads and sales campaigns.
7. Fully understand the local market conditions and competitor landscape of the region, to include a focus on pricing.
8. Coach and develop the sales team and also own the Engagement plan.
9. Align to the wider sales community on initiatives such as Sales Academy and development opportunities.
Our essential requirements
1. 3 years experience leading a high performing sales team.
2. Proven record of achieving KPIs including revenue targets and customer satisfaction.
3. Analytical with the ability to interpret financial data.
4. Experienced with the tendering process.
5. Knowledge and understanding of current and proposed environmental legislation.
