Blackburn Catholic Primary School - Year 5 Teacher Post
Full-time working hours and long-term work opportunity in a GOOD Catholic School. It is not a necessity to be of Catholic faith, but you must be able to uphold the Christian ethos.
The successful candidate will work under the leadership of an 'inspirational' and 'committed' Head teacher who continuously aims to improve standards across the school.
An average-sized school in the heart of Blackburn has approached Teaching Personnel to shortlist and appoint a committed and hardworking primary practitioner with experience in the upper KS2 departments. The school is currently recruiting to cover a maternity leave in the Year 5 class. The role will commence from the first week after the Easter holidays and continue until at least the end of the academic year.
The Head teacher noted that the children in the class are 'bright and willing to learn'; there are also a number of children who come from 'challenging' backgrounds, which pose a challenge in the classroom. It is therefore important that the applying candidates have recent educational knowledge and a range of behaviour management techniques that can be showcased in the classroom.
The school requires applying candidates to hold Qualified Teacher Status and have recent, relevant experience working in a classroom setting. On this occasion, the school is looking for a teacher with at least two years of experience in the classroom.
You must be able to uphold the Catholic Ethos in school, as the Head teacher is keen to work in line with the Christian faith. The school falls under the Salford Diocese and is regularly inspected by SIAMS.
In order to apply for this role, you must have the following:
1. Qualified Teacher Status
2. Experience working in a UKS2 class and have recent references to support your application
3. Good availability in the Summer Term and for the rest of the year to take up the role
4. Uphold the Catholic ethos and deliver high-quality Religious Studies lesson content
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
