The Role The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for end to end smooth running of purchase ledger and assist with preparation of management accounts and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Purchase Ledger Management of Verify system Triage invoices and send for approval Supplier reconciliations Supplier Payments Ad hoc Payments as required Expenses Management Processing expense claims from staff and members Managing claims through verify Raising Payments Bank Reconciliations Weekly reconciliation of the current account and savings account Support Senior Finance Assistant with members fees account as required Management Accounts Assist in the preparation of timely monthly Management Accounts Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations Hold Budget owners to account on monthly and annual spend Ad hoc analysis as required Members Queries Assist with resolution of members queries as required Additional General Responsibilities Actively promote the core Values of the Organisation whilst working towards achieving the strategic objectives of the Organisation, focusing on the impact of the departmental Operational Plan. Team Structure The Finance department comprises of four members including the Assistant Management Accountant. The role reports into the Head of Finance. Knowledge/Skills/Experience Essential Part Qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent GCSE or O level, or A Levels IT Literate with intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office 365 applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive Excellent attention to detail with an ability to work to a high level of accuracy within short deadlines Ability to provide management information and reporting for key stakeholders Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and tactfully deal with complex employee relations issues. High level of credibility and the ability to work with challenging stakeholders.
