£37k - £45k per annum full time equivalent, depending on experience

Bedford Modern School is an HMC Independent Co-educational Day School located on the outskirts of Bedford. Our facilities are excellent and include a separate Junior School, dedicated Sixth Form building and extensive sports facilities. We offer a premium education, with a wide and varied curriculum, where the intellectual needs of each pupil is given priority.
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Health, Safety, Fire, and Compliance (HSFC) Officer to join our School. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all HSFC issues are managed effectively and in accordance with relevant regulations, guidance, and best practices.
Working closely with the Estates Office, you will provide comprehensive support and advice to the Leadership Team on how to promote, develop and maintain a strong HSFC culture throughout the School.
You therefore must be qualified to a high level of certification recognised by the National General Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH), have experience in gathering, analysing and reporting on key data as well and writing succinct, evidence-based reports with clear recommendations.
