Job Description We have a vacancy for a Simulation Performance Engineer to optimise and develop car performance at our Technology Campus in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting role for a motivated and enthusiastic engineer who will optimise car performance by producing and reporting high quality and accurate simulation results utilising the RBT-developed suite of simulation tools. We have roles to suit both new graduates and engineers with significant industrial experience. What you’ll be doing as a Simulation Performance Engineer: Generating optimal design, development and setup targets to maximise car performance across current race events, through in-season development and for future cars. Developing and improving the simulation tools, models and analysis methods which underpin our car performance optimisation. Preparing, running and communicating accurate pre-event setup optimisation summaries prior to each event. Providing setup optimisation recommendations during race and test events. Ensuring all simulation output and reporting is consistent and coherent. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate: Education to at least degree level within Mechanical Engineering, Automotive or Aeronautical Engineering, Physics or other relevant engineering discipline. Simulation expertise in at least one of the following areas: Whole-vehicle, Tyre, Suspension, Power Unit, or Aerodynamics. Experience within an F1 or high-level motorsport environment is a distinct advantage. A high level of proficiency in the use of Python and Matlab to model engineering problems and analyse data. A proven ability to find solutions to difficult problems and deliver results in a high-pressure working environment. Flexiblility and confidence working at our factory base or at the track, during race or test events. What we can offer you?
