The Role at a Glance
As a Humanities Teacher, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across the Humanities curriculum. You'll play a key role in shaping students’ understanding of the world while encouraging them to ask big questions and develop strong analytical skills.
✏️ Your Responsibilities as a Humanities Teacher:
Teach History, Geography, and Religious Studies to KS3/KS4 pupils
Design creative, inclusive lessons that spark curiosity and discussion
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Encourage critical thinking, debate, and open-mindedness
Contribute to the development of the department and participate in school events
Support students' wellbeing, offering encouragement and guidance
✅ What We're Looking For in a Humanities Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Humanities and a genuine passion for teaching
Previous experience teaching at secondary level (ECTs are welcome!)
Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
