The Warehouse Operative will work within the Stores Department to support the production of bathroom pods and modular units. This role is responsible for ensuring that all incoming goods are properly unloaded, checked, and recorded, and that stock is efficiently managed and distributed to meet the fast-paced demands of the production lines. The Warehouse Operative will also be involved in maintaining stock records, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and contributing to the smooth running of the warehouse operations.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Unloading and checking incoming goods against delivery paperwork.
• Booking in consignments using the internal MRP system (SAP).
• Locating stock items in the warehouse using handheld scanners.
• Creating and managing picklists and issuing stocks to production lines.
• Picking parts according to production schedules using manual pick notes.
• Reporting shortages or stock discrepancies and ensuring timely corrections.
• Replenishing stock required by production, often at short notice.
• Ensuring accurate and efficient part picking to prevent production delays.
• Maintaining accurate stock logs on the internal MRP system.
• Operating lifting equipment within the department.
• Adhering to health and safety standards and company procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Keeping the warehouse and work areas clean and organised
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives within the Stores Department to optimise workflows.
• Support other teams in stock audits and process improvements.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
Required:
• School diploma or equivalent. Leve l 2 in Numeracy and Literacy or equivalent to ensure the ability to complete and read the documents.
• Training in SAP or similar warehouse management systems.
Desirable:
• Forklift Counterbalance License.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Required:
• Previous experience working within a busy warehouse, stock control, or stores environment.
• Experience in unloading goods and booking in stock using warehouse management systems.
• Experience using handheld scanners to locate and record stock movements.
• Basic understanding of health and safety requirements in a warehouse setting.
Desirable:
• Experience with creating picklists and using SAP for warehouse operations.
