At Hayley Menzies, we are on an exciting journey of building our finance team for an incredible, fast-growing retail business. As the Finance Assistant, you will be a key part of the Company’s growth and success. If you are passionate about getting stuck in and supporting our business in a variety of ways, this will be a great opportunity for you to develop and be close to the action.
You will need to be able to manage your time effectively to deliver a complete and accurate accounting service. You will be involved in our financial interactions with customers and suppliers, as well as helping communicate our results to management, investors and other interested parties.
Duties & responsibilities
* Processing purchase invoices and preparing the payment run
* Reconciliation of supplier accounts, expenses, credit cards and bank accounts
* Raising sales invoices for wholesale
* Reconciliations of the sales income across retail and ecommerce
* Supporting merchandising team with stock management
* Credit control
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist in preparation of month end and internal reporting
* General support and assistance to the Founder including administrative duties
* Any other ad hoc duties
Prerequisites & attributes
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
* Keen to learn and progress within the finance team
* Experience of Xero and stock management is preferable
* Good excel skills

Remuneration
* Salary: £32,000 FTE depending on experience
* Hours of work: 20-25 hours per week, can be worked in 3 days or across 5 shorter days as required
* 20 days holiday year pro rata inclusive of bank holidays
* Clothing allowance per season
