Main duties of the Speech and Language Therapist:
1. Provide advice and programmes to others, particularly to school staff, regarding the management and care of children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.
2. Demonstrate clinical effectiveness using evidence-based practice and manage clinical risk within defined caseload.
3. Reflect on practice with peers/clinical supervisor and seek support as necessary.
4. Maintain up to date and accurate case notes in line with RCSLT professional standards and local trust policies.
Requirements of the Speech and Language Therapist/SLT:
1. Degree or equivalent within Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
2. Recent UK/NHS post qualifying experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
