As a Senior Architect, you will be providing the developer operations strategy and vision across all value streams in the HID PACS Business Area.
Your focus area will be around the developer operations across multi-disciplinary teams developing embedded, desktop, cloud, and mobile solutions with a strong focus on security and privacy by design.
This role is also focused on achieving efficient and rapid continuous integration and deployment between multiple systems that form part of a technology ecosystem.
Together with other architects, you will define the systems, products, and architectures to support these focus areas. You will interact with engineering teams, product/program management teams, and other stakeholders to provide technical alignment around portfolio level solutions and participate in the development of architectural roadmaps.

HID’s Physical Access Control Solutions Department:
HID PAC’s Business Unit focuses on the growth of new clients and existing clients where we leverage the latest card and reader technologies to solve the security challenges of our clients. Other areas of focus will include authentication, card sub systems, card encoding, Biometrics, location services and all other aspects of a physical access control infrastructure.
As our Senior Architect Developer Operations, you’ll support HID’s success by:
* Designing and promoting efficient delivery pipelines that embrace automation tools and frameworks.
* Promoting early adoption and integration of security assessments during development lifecycles.
* Collaborating with other architects to ensure subsystems and components fit into the overall vision and strategy of a holistic ecosystem of products in the HID PACS portfolio.
* Participating and contributing in planning events, workshops, and system demonstrations.
* Identifying and reducing inter-team dependencies through carefully considered technology stacks and Application Program Interfaces.
* Driving technical alignment between research and product engineering teams in a multi-disciplinary environment.
* Coordinating and supporting technology implementations between teams and products or services.
* Participating and providing guidance in design reviews with engineering teams.
* Driving and supporting continuous improvement and other agile practices.
* Creating and promoting best engineering practices during development lifecycles.
What we will love about your background:
* Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of end to end PACS systems.
* Strong IT skills and knowledge including hardware, software, and networking.
* Ability to work on complex tasks without technical guidance.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
* Good presenting and communication skills, good judgment, analytical ability.
Your Experience and Education include:
* Minimum Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
* Ten years professional experience in support of product development.
* Experience in the physical access control sector would be advantageous.
* Familiarity with infrastructure management and monitoring tools.
* Proficiency in developer operations platform tooling such as Jenkins, Gradle, Snyk, SonarQube, DefectDojo, Ansible, Yocto, Yocto Cooker, Ant, Maven, NPM, Nexus, Docker, Terraform, AWS DevOps Services.
* Familiarity with documentation standards and practices with a developer operations focus.
* Experience in building and maintaining good working relationships with both external and internal parties.
