Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Scaffold Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and be proficient in the fabrication and assembly of scaffolding systems. This role requires a keen eye for detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work collaboratively on various projects. The Scaffold Builder will be responsible for ensuring that scaffolding is erected safely and efficiently, providing support for construction activities. The candidate must be happy to go out and quote jobs up accurately and bring on new jobs where possible. The candidate will be promoted to charge hand / supervisor once up to speed and will over see a team, with a pay increase included once this takes place Working hours can vary, typically 08.00-17.00 excluding travel. Responsibilities Fabricate scaffolding components using hand tools and power tools. Assemble and disassemble scaffolding structures according to specifications and safety regulations. Ensure all scaffolding is plumb, level, and secure before use. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including masons, electricians, and carpenters, to coordinate scaffold requirements for various projects. Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards. Maintain a clean and organised work environment by managing tools and materials effectively. Follow all health and safety protocols to minimise risks on the job site. Skills / Experience needed Proven experience in scaffold building or a related construction field is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
