Who we need
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Support role to join our team on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
The successful candidate will be an ambassador for training and skills and the impact this makes to businesses, the economy, and individuals’ occupational opportunities by providing the employer engagement officer with the support they need to provide employers with outstanding service.
Day to day duties will include but are not limited to:
* Work with the employer engagement officers to provide account management and sales support to key stakeholders and employers, to assist in the planning of their workforce recruitment and training needs.
1. Maintain a current understanding of funding methodology in order to promote and sell all products and services of the college, regardless of funding source.
2. Develop highly effective links with employers and work closely with the employer engagement and recruitment coordination team to ensure commitments to training are fulfilled, and employer satisfaction is high.
3. Provide reports on activity including recruitment figures and performance against target to key customers and stakeholders and management.
4. Support employment engagement officers in attendance at employer and vocationally specific networking activities to increase the college's market share.
5. Maintain a detailed knowledge of relevant work-based training subjects and levels offered by the College and articulate the benefits of apprenticeships and commercial training via a consultative selling approach to employers.
6. Research LMI (Labour Market Information) and employers’ background, KPIs and their development plans to inform face-to-face and online meetings and complete documented training needs analysis.
7. Monitor bid portals to identify new commercial opportunities for the college and contribute to tenders and funding bids for the subjects in your vocational area.
8. Maintain a detailed understanding of the skills provision landscape locally and nationally to identify opportunities for growth, supporting the College to develop and advance products and services.
9. Carry out general sales support functions, such as follow up sales calls.
10. Travel to meet employers and candidates and be flexible in approach to work and adjust working patterns to suit business needs.
11. Generate new relationships with employers for the College in current and future markets leading to increased apprenticeship vacancy and work experience opportunities.
* Promote employer and curriculum engagement to ensure an outstanding experience for all learners and to ensure our offer is fit for purpose for the industry.
* Provide employers with exceptional customer service, advice, and guidance and secure repeat business.
1. Contribute to the forecasting and profiling of learning provision by submitting an understanding of emerging, developing, and declining workforce training needs.
2. Influence the design of curriculum and enhance the responsiveness to current and future employers’ workforce needs.
