The role Adhere to the organisations Information Governance Strategy, provide input within the information management framework. Processing of information access requests by logging and tracking in line with legislative deadlines. When there are divergent interests among internal stakeholders, utilise persuasive techniques to communicate to the company the wider public interest in disclosure, against protective sensitive data. Provide advice and guidance on information access, data protection and records and information management issues to staff. Develop, design and deliver specialist training to the wider company educating staff on data protection, FOI/EIR/DP. General duties including organising meeting minutes. Investigate data breaches, identify trends, make recommendation for improvement, and develop training to address issues. Investigate complaints relative to Data protection, FOI, EIR. Engage with internal and external audits as required. The Person As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: A minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade C or above to include English or equivalent 2 years' experience working in an Information and Records management role including admin/logging access requests Practical experience in Data protection, Freedom of Information and the Environmental Information Regulations High level of communication skills Desirable: A third-level qualification ideally in Information management or Governance, or legislative-related discipline Experience of Training provision including development and delivery preferably including e-learning and in person training.
