We are seeking a reliable and skilled Plant Operator to join our team at our Carmean Limeworks site.
About The Role
Role Overview
This role involves operating the bagging plant, handling materials using a fork truck, and ensuring the safe and efficient running of site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and monitor the bagging plant, ensuring efficient production and packaging of lime products.
* Operate a fork truck to move, load, and unload materials safely.
* Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on plant equipment.
* Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
* Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of production and material movements.
* Assist with general site operations, including housekeeping and manual handling when required.
* Work as part of a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or quarrying environment is desirable.
* Forklift truck (FLT) licence or willingness to undertake training.
* Ability to operate machinery and follow technical procedures.
* Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
* Good teamwork and communication skills.
* Willingness to work flexibly, including shift work if required.
