A leading Financial Services business is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join their Capital Markets business change team in London on an initial 6 month contract.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Business Analyst, your role will be pivotal in driving business analysis activities across various projects. Working on a varied portfolio of medium to large size projects, you will play a critical role in managing all aspects of requirements delivery, and support changes to Business Areas and Technology.
You will be responsible for performing stakeholder analysis, developing detailed plans, managing risks, and defining the business analysis approach. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to facilitate collaborative sessions with diverse stakeholder groups, ensuring that all requirements are accurately documented and validated. You will also play a key role in preparing requirements for review, communicating the impact of changes, and supporting Quality Assurance in the development of Functional System test cases.
1. Perform requirements stakeholder analysis
2. Develop plans and estimates for completion of requirements
3. Manage risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements
4. Define the business analysis approach based on the project and delivery methodology
5. Facilitate collaborative sessions with diverse business stakeholder groups
6. Analyze and document scope of the business solution using enterprise-standard requirements methodology
7. Verify requirements for quality and validate with impacted stakeholders
8. Prepare requirements for review and lead walkthroughs and sign off sessions
9. Communicate the impact of changes through cost-benefit analysis
10. Support QA in development of Functional System test cases

The ideal candidate for this Senior Business Analyst role brings a wealth of experience in various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative or Agile. Your expertise in requirements planning, prioritization, stakeholder analysis and effort estimation sets you apart from others. You have strong skills in eliciting requirements through various techniques and are proficient in Scope Modelling, Business Process Modelling, Use Cases and Scenarios, Data Requirements, Business Rules Analysis and Decision Modelling User Interface Design. Your experience in managing requirements and communication is crucial to this role.
1. Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile
2. Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation
3. Strong skills in requirements elicitation techniques such as Document analysis, Interviews, Facilitated workshops, Observation, Prototyping, Focus groups, Surveys
4. Expertise in Scope Modelling, Business Process Modelling, Use Cases and Scenarios, Data Requirements, Business Rules Analysis and Decision Modelling User Interface Design
5. Proficiency in Non-Functional requirements User Stories, Story Decomposition, and Story Mapping Acceptance and Evaluation Criteria Definition
6. Experience in requirements management and communication - requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; configuration management, Backlog Management
